Welcome to Brittany

The Le Camélia holiday home is located in the district of Saint Eden on the coast of Plouescat. You can expect tranquility, restful silence and the sound of the surf. A mild breeze from the Atlantic blows the scent of far away ...

Le Camélia

A beautiful old Camélia stands in the front yard and delights with hundreds of red flowers every year as winter ends. This is how she became the namesake! The holiday home is located in the small town of Plouescat in the Finistère department. The name Plouescat is made up of the Breton words plou (parish, municipality, village) and coat (wood, forest). The mild, humid Atlantic climate allows for lush greenery, from typical coastal vegetation to continental and Mediterranean flora. Various palm trees grow in the gardens, among which the huge date palms catch the eye and exude a southern flair.

Healthy Air

It is the iodine-rich air in the energetic atmosphere and the invigorating sea spray that make a stay on the coast a health holiday by the way. Sun, salt water and fresh wind are factors that make the climate so unique. The gentle effect and the stimulating climate work together in a complex way and enable intensive relaxation. Long ago, people came to the shores of Finistère to cure lung and bronchial ailments. Walk the coastal paths! Breathe in the maritime aerosol directly on the surf. It's the small salt water droplets in the air that get into the air sacs and bronchi when you breathe. The sea climate has a beneficial and soothing effect on the respiratory tract. Good for allergy sufferers! The coastal air is almost free of triggering allergens such as pollen or pollutants. In all seasons, the intense breeze stimulates the organism. Long walks by the sea or bicycle tours along the small coastal roads are recommended.

No Boredom

The region offers countless possibilities for excursions. You can reach the imposing beaches of Baie Kernic or Plage des Amiets on foot or by bike. At low tide, the sea reveals huge areas of sand and you can follow the receding surf on long walks far out. At low tide, the Île de Sieck can be hiked a short distance away - but only then! A stroll through the port cities of Roscoff or Saint-Pol-de-Léon is very worthwhile.
